The APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management Course (CPIM) is considered the premier certification for supply chain business operations. Since its launch in 1973 more than 100,000 professionals have benefited from this globally recognised certification.

Course Duration & Fee

  • Evening course
  • 1 year approximately to complete Part 1 & 2

  • CPIM Part 1 start in February and September each year
  • 1 evening a week over 12 weeks. 36 hours approximately
  • Fee: 1,450 (Tuition, learning system, exam fee and 1 year's membership)

  • CPIM Part 2 starts in September each year
  • 1 evening a week over 20 weeks. 60 hours approximately.
  • Fee: 1,950 (Tuition, learning system and exam fee)

APICS CPIM Qualification

The CPIM program is divided into two modules, each covering specific, in-depth aspects of production and inventory management:

     Part 1 -  Basics of Supply Chain Management

     Part 2 -  Execution and Control of Operations

               -  Master Planning of Resources

               -  Detailed Scheduling and Planning

               -  Strategic Management of Resources

CPIM examination

    Exams are computer based and are scheduled throughout the year. There are a number of exam centres throughout the country.

    Participants must pass both modules in order to receive their certification and use the designation CPIM after their name.

IPICS - The Supply Chain Management Institute, is the certification administrator in Ireland on behalf of APICS.
