ACCA Foundation Certificate in Taxation

The Foundation Certificate in Taxation is part of the Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) Suite of Awards.

The Foundation Certificate in Taxation is suitable for those working or wanting to work in a specialist role in Taxation and who wish to have an introductory level qualification in this area.

It provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to understand the principles and major technical areas of taxation, as they affect the activities of individuals and businesses.

Having covered the core areas of the basic taxes, participants should be able to compute tax liabilities, explain the basis of their calculations, complete the tax returns and identify the compliance issues for each major tax through a variety of business and personal scenarios and situations.

No previous academic or accountancy qualifications are required to study for this qualification.

 

Students must also complete:

 A professionalism and ethics module: Foundations in Professionalism.

  This can be completed on the ACCA website before or after the exams (no fee applies).


Duration:

           One Semester:      February to June
