CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Management

The certificate programme takes place over one academic year and is delivered by lecturers with extensive practical experience in human resource management. The course covers the core skills and knowledge of human resource management and has a strong focus on the practical implementation of the subject matter. The programme looks at the context of HR in business alongside sound knowledge of employment law, recruitment & selection and performance management.

Award and Progression:

The programme assists graduates in gaining associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).  A separate membership fee (currently £140 sterling) must be paid directly to CIPD, at the start of the programme. To gain associate membership students may be required to complete a work based assessment with the CIPD.  Graduates of the Certificate in HRM will gain module exemptions from the BA in Human Resource Management.

NOTE: You can set up a Direct Debit Plan with the National College of Ireland in order to spread the cost of the course. Fees are subject to change on an annual basis.

All classes take place in the Western Management Centre in Galway.

Prerequisites

There are no specific academic entry requirements. The programme is designed to appeal to those working in HR or seeking to change career into human resources. There is usually a wide range of participants on the course and this is a vital part of the learning experience.
