The programme is open to all learners however they should ideally be working or involved in a business-related activity though not necessarily in a management or supervisory role. The programme is ideal for a learner who has recently been promoted into a management role, or aspires to be promoted, and now needs to complement and enhance their work experience with a relevant qualifications.

Manual Handling Instruction-QQI Award- Level 6 (6S0242)

The HSA regulations require that all Manual Handling Instructors must be certified. This course is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills and competencies to deliver manual handling training. Learners who achieve this award can transfer into the Level 6 Special Purpose Certificate in People Handling Instruction.

Project Management- QQI Award (Minor) Level 6 (6N4090)

The course is designed to equip the learner with knowledge, skills and competence in the theory, principles and best practices of project management. The learner will be provided with the fundamental skills required to adopt a structured approach to project management which can be applied to almost any project management situation across industry and business.

Safety & Health at Work -QQI Award (Minor) Level 5 (5N1794)

The course is relevant for any person who is responsible for health and safety in their workplace or who requires a recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety. It is designed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to promote and maintain safety and health in their place of work. Increasing employees’ participation in health and safety also has positive benefits for a company in terms of less workplace accidents, absenteeism, etc.

Team Leadership -QQI Award (Minor) Level 6 (6N1948)

The aim of the course is to equip the learner with the relevant knowledge, skills and competencies to work as an effective leader and member of a team, independently and/or in a supervisory capacity. The course looks at the principle theories and styles of leadership plus the role and key functions of a team leader including motivation, communication, planning, goal setting and delegation.

Training Delivery & Evaluation -QQI Award (Minor) Level 6 (6N3326)

The course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, competence and skills necessary to deliver, assess and evaluate training programmes. The course also provides the learner with an opportunity to practice their training delivery skills and build their confidence as a trainer. Overall it provides a recognised qualification for those working in a training capacity.
