This 8 week course will provide participants with a thorough understanding of the crucial elements of Irish employment law including contracts of employment, equality, unfair dismissals, statutory leave, The WRC and workplace bullying and harassment.

ACCA Financial Accounting- FFA-FA- Diploma in Accounting & Business

Course commencing mid October 2019 - The Diploma in Accounting and Business Qualification is part of both the ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) Suite of Awards and the ACCA Professional Qualification. No previous academic or accountancy qualifications are required however some basic understanding of accounting principles and/or some experience in an accounting environment is desirable. The course is equivalent to the first year of a degree.

The course is designed to equip the learner with knowledge, skills and competence in the theory, principles and best practices of project management. The learner will be provided with the fundamental skills required to adopt a structured approach to project management which can be applied to almost any project management situation across industry and business.

The course aims to equip learners with the practical skills, knowledge and competencies to provide first aid and life-saving support in an accident situation. The instructional format includes: lectures, practical exercises, practice and drills, and instructional videos.

The aim of the course is to refresh learners with the practical skills, knowledge, and competence to provide first aid and life-saving support in an accident situation.

Cardiac First Responder

This Cardiac First Response – Community Level course was developed by PHECC, the Pre- Hospital Emergency Care Council, as a national standard for anyone who has to deal with a heart attack, stroke or choking. A Cardiac First Responder can play a vital role in keeping a person alive until they receive expert medical assistance. Equally CPR and an AED are important links in the chain of survival.

Half day, 9am to 1 pm

Abrasive Wheel Mounting

The course is suitable for those with a responsibility for the installation, operation and maintenance of abrasive wheels in accordance with the relevant regulations. The course is highly participative with emphasis on the practical element of the training. Note: This course is specific to tools associated with abrasive wheels and not the safe use of power tools in general.

Manual Handling

Current health and safety legislation requires that all employees engaged in manual handling activities must be given training in safe lifting techniques. The term manual handling is used to describe a range of activities including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving an object. The course provides participants with the knowledge and skill to conduct manual handling activities in a manner that will prevent injury. All Trainers are QQI certified as required by the Health & Safety Authority (HSA).

QQI Level-5 Safety & Health at Work

The purpose of this course is to equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote and maintain a healthy and safe working environment for employees in compliance with the safety Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.
